Microsoft Has Offered To Allow Sony To Have New Call Of Duty Titles Release On PlayStation Plus Day One

It’s been confirmed by Microsoft that it has offered Sony the option to have new Call Of Duty titles in the future launch on Sony’s PlayStation Plus subscription service on day one, if it wants.

Having this confirmation come from Microsoft shows more of how far the company is willing to go to get its Activision Blizzard acquisition approved.

This news comes as Microsoft is specifically trying to win over the UK’s regulatory body, the CMA, who’ve so far been the largest hurdle in the way of the deal.

Even though the FTC are the ones actually suing Microsoft over the proposed acquisition, at least in that case there’s an appeal process, and the FTC can’t actually stop the deal on its own.

In the case of the CMA, there is no appeal process, and if Microsoft fails to get an approval from it, then that could very well be the end of the deal.

It still seems however that things may come down to Sony agreeing to Microsoft’s 10-year deal, to get it approved. Barring that, getting this deal through will continue to be difficult for Microsoft.
