Nvidia And Google Join Sony In Expressing Concerns To The FTC About Microsoft’s Activision Acquisition

Sony has been leading the charge in trying to argue that Microsoft’s proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard is anti-competitive and ought to be blocked.

Now however it’s not alone, as Nvidia and Google has also stepped up to express concerns of their own to the FTC.

A new report from Bloomberg reveals that the two companies have brought their worries to the FTC specifically around how this deal could give Microsoft an unfair advantage with regards to cloud gaming.

Good news for those hopeful at Sony that this deal won’t go through, however we don’t really know the extent to which either Google or Nvidia argued for the merger to be blocked.

According to the report, Nvidia wasn’t even saying that it was opposed to the acquisition, just voicing its own concerns about “the need for equal and open access to game titles.”

It seems like more obstacles are being put in the way of this deal going through, but Microsoft is still the massive tech giant it is, and it wouldn’t be the first time its gotten a deal through with the FTC trying to block it.
