According to the trivia section on IMDB’s listing for Horizon Forbidden West, Guerrilla Games‘ latest PS5 & PS4 title had a budget of over 110 million EUROS, a figure that makes it the most expensive media production in the Netherlands.
Sony hasn’t said anything about the budget of Horizon Forbidden West, so it’s best to take this claim with a pinch of salt for the time being. Still, Horizon is obviously a major franchise for Sony, and regardless of how much the budget actually is, there’s bound to have been a fair amount of cash injected into Aloy’s latest adventure.
Horizon Forbidden West was released in February 2022 for PS4 & PS5, and will be supported by fresh content with the release of this year’s The Burning Shores expansion. However, unlike the base game, DLC will not be available for PS4.
