Bandai Namco has followed up last week’s Tekken 8 King gameplay trailer with another character-specific outing, this time focussing on Lars Alexandersson in action.
Lars made his debut in Tekken 6 and is the illegitimate son of Heihachi Mishima, which means he’s related to Kazuya Mishima and Jin Kazama. Lars has his own fighting style, however, making him one of the most unique Tekken characters to watch in action.
Tekken 6 made Lars the protagonist of the game and he was the main character in the Scenario Campaign. However, his role was diminished somewhat in Tekken 7; he’s now seemingly on Jin’s side in his fight against Kazuya.
Anyway, Lars is back in Tekken 8 with a number of new tricks up his sleeves, and the Heat system opens up a new layer of deadly attacks for the character.
Tekken 8 is currently in development for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S. A release date has yet to be announced.
