After numerous delays, The Lord of the Rings Gollum will finally be released for PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on May 25, 2023, Daedalic Entertainment and Nacon have announced. The Nintendo Switch version will arrive later this year.
Based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s sprawling fantasy novel The Lord of the Rings, this latest video game outing in Middle-earth focuses on Gollum, aka Smeagol. This narrative-driven adventure sees Gollum embarking on a perilous journey using the character’s unique skills to climb, leap, and sneak past dangers while coping with your split personality.
Gollum is a major character in The Lord of the Rings canon, having obtained the One Ring and let it corrupt him for hundreds of years. His dual personality, which flips between the more malevolent Gollum side and the somewhat friendlier Smeagol version, is a key part of his story, as is his relationship with the Ring.
The Lord of the Rings Golllum is due out on May 25, 2023 for PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
