Wasteland 2 gets PS4 Game of the Year Edition

Wasteland 2 will be making its way to PS4 this summer with a Game of the Year Edition that features deep customization options, upgraded environments and improved character models.

Wasteland 2 was funded via Kickstarter and launched on PC in September 2014. The Game of the Year Edition for PS4 will essentially be a souped-up version of that popular title, which was received well by critics at launch.

“In this hardcore RPG, you take control of a squad of four Desert Rangers — plus any followers you pick up along the way — to keep peace in the post-apocalyptic Arizona desert. But a larger threat looms on the horizon, and it will fall to your team to deal with it… or die trying,” reads a post of the PlayStation blog.

The Game of the Year Edition will feature numerous upgrades over the original, including more realistic light and shadowing, new visual effects and some brand new voiceovers. Changes also apply to the gameplay with players having the ability to customize squads with Perks and Quirks traits, as well as take advantage of the Precision Strike system, which allows you to (Fallout-style) “target individual body parts”.
