Koei Tecmo Europe has emerged from the murky depths with news that upcoming horror remaster Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water (aka Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water) will benefit from a free PS4 to PS5 upgrade. Xbox owners will also get in on the action thanks to Microsoft’s Smart Delivery service.
Sadly that’s about all we have to go on, as you can see in the tweet below. Still, it’s good to see yet another third-party release embracing free next-generation upgrades for its titles.

Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water is scheduled to send chills up your spine on PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One on October 28, 2021 – just in time for Halloween! Its creator is hoping the game will receive a positive enough reception to secure a follow-up.
The original version of Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water was released for the Wii U in 2014.
