Final Fantasy XVI & Final Fantasy XIV Crossover Hasn’t Been Ruled Out By Yoshi-P

Square Enix’s Naoki Yoshida, aka Yoshi-P, has revealed that there’s a chance we could see a crossover between Final Fantasy XVI and Final Fantasy XIV.

Speaking with Chinese website HK01 (translate by Umadori0727), Yoshida-san was asked by the interviewed if there was a chance that both games may see a crossover at some point after the launch of Final Fantasy XVI.

As the producer of FF16, of course I really want to do [a collaboration]. FF14 has a huge player base, and being able to bring FF16 to FF14 players would be ideal. But that’s not a matter I can decide all on my own. I’d need to discuss it with the Producer of FF14. It just so happens that the Producer and Director of FF14 has the surname “Yoshida,” so I’ll check with him. If he says ‘yes’, then it might really happen.
