Final Fantasy XVI Will Last Players 70-80 Hours For 100% Completion

Final Fantasy XVI Director Hiroshi Takai and Producer Naoki Yoshida have revealed during an interview with Famitsu magazine that players can expect to put about 70-80 hours into the game to achieve 100% completion.

Yoshida-san revealed that he originally wanted to have a 20-hour completion time for the base game, but as development progressed, more content was added to the game. As it stands, the development team expect about 35 hours for players to complete the main story without any extra content.

Meanwhile, Takai-san revealed that Final Fantasy XVI will feature a leaderboard that allows players to compete with others from around the globe.

Previously, the development team revealed that Final Fantasy XVI is not powered by the Luminous Engine or Unreal Engine, but wouldn’t reveal exactly what tech it’s using. Meanwhile, Yoshida-san confirmed that the RPG will include a whopping 11 hours of cinematic cutscenes.

Final Fantasy XVI is scheduled for release on June 22, 2023.
